Glossary
Closed Captioning (CC)
Displays the audio portion of the presentation as text on the screen.
Controls
The controls drop-down button contains the following features: closed captioning, pause the slide, mute the narration, slide progress, and replay the slide.
Connect
The social collaboration section of the OTH, in which learners work on group assignments and participate in discussion forums on VMMC topics
Curriculum
A specific combination of online modules/classes offered as a single course on the OTH. “Your Curriculum” consists of those modules/classes selected specifically for your work needs.
Drop-down
A button that opens to allow a user to select items from a series of options.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Section accessible from the OTH home page that provides answers to common questions about the site.
Glossary
A list of terms used in the class with their definitions. Definitions of glossary terms can also be seen by rolling over any words on the slides that have dotted lines beneath them.
Materials
Found under the “menu” drop-down button, supplementary documents and links to resources related to the topic of the class.
Menu
The menu drop-down button contains the following features: the table of contents (TOC), a list of supplementary materials for a class, and a glossary for terms used in the class.
Resource Library
Section of the OTH that contains documents and links for important VMMC reference documents, job aids, journal articles, and other resources.
Table of Contents (TOC)
Found under the “menu” button, lists the topics in the class and provides random access to these topics after they have initially been viewed.
Transcript
The page in the OTH through which you enter your curriculum to take classes, access contact information for your course moderator or Help Desk, and find out more about any in-person training associated with the course, such as your clinical practicum.
